In the 80’s, the VHS boom created something really interesting in Ghana, a group of touring “cinemas” who would go to different towns and show movies on a television with a portable generator. As with all theaters, a demand for movie posters was created. They reached out to there local artists to do large oil paintings. These movie posters would generally be based on a scene or the cover of the video, but sometimes in order to get people excited, the artists took liberties with the source material. This post is just a handful of the wackiest, coolest and most out of this world posters. We give you GHANA-A-GO-GO!
